What is vision? 

A clear mental image of a preferable future given by God to his servants to advance His Kingdom.  It is based on an accurate understanding of God, of self, and of circumstances.  Vision is vital to the carrying out of God’s Will and Purpose in our lives, in our homes, and in our church.

According to Proverbs 29:18,

Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, (suffer and struggle with existence) 

but blessed is he who keeps the law. (ESV)

Without Vision there is indecision.  Without vision there is division.  Without vision there is confrontation and collision.

Vision is a visual depiction of conditions that do not currently exist.

Vision is about stretching and building upon the reality that current exists.

Vision is not about maintaining status quo.

Vision is about thinking ahead and not dwelling on the past successes or failures.

Vision is a burning desire to see God’s Will done to the fullest.
